The PropertyStreet Farm Cottage is a comfortably furnished holiday cottage sleeping up to 4 people set in a quiet location within a few hundred yards of the heart of picturesque Fressingfield - with excellent village shops, an inn serving hearty meals and a first-class restaurant. With its own private courtyard, it adjoins the owners' former farmhouse home. Our guests enjoy the use of a magnificent indoor heated swimming pool (private times by arrangement with guests to Street Farm Barn after 30 April 2010), an open plan living/dining room, and well-equipped kitchen and outside utility room (perfect for drying the swimming togs). Upstairs there is one double bedroom, one twin-bedded room and family bathroom.
The Local AreaFressingfield is one of Suffolk's prettiest villages, nestling in the Waveney Valley which separates Suffolk from Norfolk. It is a perfect location for exploring the 64 footpaths in the village alone and the surrounding country lanes are ideal for cycling and walking. Interesting small shops, antique emporiums, galleries and museums are found in the nearby market towns of Bungay, Harleston (4 miles) and Diss, whilst the glorious Suffolk Heritage Coast is an easy drive. Here visitors can explore the elegant resort of Southwold, with its charming traditional pier, colourful bathing huts and excellent restaurants. There is lovely walking to enjoy at the delightful seaside village of Walberswick and also on Dunwich Heath (N.T.) – the beachside cafe at Dunwich is famous for its fish and chips. Further along the coast lies RSPB Minsmere, and the shingle beach at the charming fishing town of Aldeburgh is the setting for the contraversial Scallop sculpture dedicated to Sir Benjamin Britten. Snape Maltings, Sutton Hoo (N.T.), Constable Country, Lavenham and the medieval city of Norwich, with its castle, cathedral and fine shopping, are all within easy reach.
